Why does the Hulk transform? Not because Bruce Banner got angry. The first time it happened, in 1962, nobody in the room was angry at all. The sun went down. That was the whole trigger.

This is what the Hulk actually is, taken straight off the page: a man locked in a room at sundown, a first line nobody quotes, a colour that wouldn't print, and a 2025 comic where Banner is walking around without his monster because something else took it, and kept the body.
