Where do symbiotes come from? Marvel answered that, just not inside a comic.
What this issue actually reads
The suit lands on Spider-Man in 1984 with no explanation, no witness and nobody who mentions it again. The word for what it is arrives before the scene that earns it. There is a year where the creature simply vanishes and no book says where. And the answer everyone repeats (the dark place, the weapon, the god) is printed on a placard in the back of the book, four decades later.
